Mrs. Pohlmeyer, Counselor

I believe that all people are lovable and capable. Children who feel good about themselves will do well in school and life. Emotional well-being and happiness are direct results of positive self esteem. As a parent and educator, I believe that positive attitudes given to children through high expectations, a challenging curriculum and environment, encouraging choice making, and giving loving praise will ignite a passion for life in all its vibrant colors.

Did you know that the elementary school counselor:

...listens to students?

...talks to students about homework?

...talks to students about themselves and others around them?

...talks with students about what they want to be when they grow up?

...visits all classrooms?

...helps groups of boys and girls?

...is an adult friend to all students?
