I believe that to be truly educated, students and teachers alike, we must be responsible, on our own at some point, to become more aware and informed; more perceptive and therefore more conscious of who we are and why we teach and learn the way we do. Why is it, as a country, we say "children first" yet we don't invest the time, money and resources really needed to make the statement true?
