Health
and Well Being
As you already know, we have implemented many new ideas to address physical fitness and good nutrition for our Meadow Lane students over the last few years. In an effort to continue to promote the well being of our students, we will be promoting a week long campaign on hand washing when we return from Christmas break. With the help of one of our parents, Public Health and our district nurse, we will be putting together a week of activities around the topic of hand washing, germs and health in general. Meanwhile, we are asking parents to share with their children the following ideas:
Wash your hands after you cough or sneeze.
Don’t bite your nails.
Wash your hands before you eat.
Keep your fingers out of your mouth.
Wash your hands after you go to the toilet.
Keep your nails clean.
Wash your hands after touching a pet.
During the break, you and your child may want to visit the
following site for more information on the value and importance of hand
washing: http://www.henrythehand.com/
